Driving Agriculture Forward Scholarship
Truck drivers are critical for transporting farm commodities, inputs, and food throughout our state and nation. Without truck drivers, the entire supply chain breaks down. The Driving Agriculture Forward Scholarship Program, funded by the Illinois Farm Bureau, offsets the cost of required commercial truck driver training and ensures
more well-trained, safe drivers are available to drive agriculture forward.
Five $1,000 awards will be available each cycle.
2025 Cycle one: For applicants enrolling in driver training April 1 through June 30.
Deadline for consideration is March 31.
2025 Cycle two: For applicants enrolling in driver training July 1 through September 30.
Deadline for consideration is June 30.
2025 Cycle three: For applicants enrolling in driver training October 1 through December 31.

Rural Nurse Practitioner Scholarship Program
Attention Illinois Registered Nurses! If you're enrolled in a University Nurse Practitioner Program, you could qualify for a $4,000 scholarship to support your education. This opportunity requires a commitment to serve as a primary care nurse practitioner in an approved rural Illinois community for two years.
Are you currently enrolled in veterinary school and need help financing your education? Illinois Farm Bureau is taking applications for its Illinois Veterinary Education and Training Program, or Ivet. It provides low interest loans to qualifying students, who, after graduating, commit to working in a food animal practice that services Illinois livestock farmers. Participants have five years to pay back the loan following graduation. To learn more or apply online, visit ilfb.org/IVET. The deadline to apply is May 15th.
